I'm assuming that F3 can have bank accounts, because they have ARCs, right? WOuld it matter if my husband and I shared a bank account and the school paid me through that bank account? Or would I need a separate one to be paid?

I'm not certain, but I think you can get a bank account on an F3. I would wonder why you need one though...If you are on the F3, how are you working? If your husband is on the F3, is he working?

Joint accounts are very rare in Korea. Why not just have two accounts?

Actually, I think I heard somewhere that joint accounts are not possible in Korea - not sure if that is true, though.

My husband doesn't work for a company but occasionally he sells food to co-workers and friends. If they give him money, we just spend the cash or put it into my account that's in my name only.

My husband would be on an F3. We've always had a joint account, so thought we would do the same in Korea.

He can have his own account on an F3.
He does NOT need an ARC but his access will be restricted to "over the counter" until he gets one.

You will have your own account. Same caveat as above until you get your ARC.

There are no joint accounts and no checking accounts.

Hm, Ok, guess he'll just be bank account-less and I'll hold the purse strings Smile
