I've only got a little bit of time right now so I throw myself at the mercy of the board. I haven't even used the search function (for shame). Please help me with the process of the Wisconsin criminal background check.

When I got mine I had to go through the secretary of the state. I think I printed the request form off line but I don't remember for sure, I know you can print the apostilles forms off line. Just call the office and ask them; they are very nice and helpful. It didn't take long for me to get it.

The criminal background check has to be received from the DOJ CIB ($15 I think). The quickest way to get it is just to go to Madison and stop at the Dept. Of Justice. Go to the CIB offices and they can do the background check for you in 15 minutes. They also notarize it right away and get it ready to be apostilled. Then you can go across the Capital Square to the State Dept and get it apostilled. You can have the Apostille expressed for $35 or wait 1-10 days for $10. You also need to fill out the apostille form, and provide postage for them to send out your document. I picked up a USPS priority mail envelope. Both my CBC and my Degree apostilles arrived in about 7 business days (didn't express). I think its possible to have it same day though with the express if you want to pay the money and show up early enough. Otherwise you can send for the CBC and the Apostilles through the mail, if you want to wait.

I had to get a copy of my degree apostilled for EPIK (first time applying). I'm pretty sure all the public school programs want a copy. I didn't really look at hagwons/unis so I don't know their requirements...
