I'll hopefully be in Singapore for a week or two in early February. Family trip.
For a beach trip, should I go to nearby Tioman, or fly to Perhentian or Langkawi? I am told February is the edge of monsoon season, and all of these places have good and bad reports.
This is option paralysis, in a good way. I also see all sorts of southern beach places, such as Besar and Desaru (near grimy Johor Bahru). Opinions? Thanks all. |

Unless things have changed recently, you can't fly to Perhentian. It is also the monsoon season, and might not even be reachable by boat that time of the year.
Langkawi and the other side of Malaysia is affected by the monsoon in the summer time, so you'd be fine there. |

I've been to Tioman, I don't know about the Monsoon but the island was great. I saw more wildlife there than any other place on my travels in southeast asia. |
