I don't get it. Why does every pizza place in Seoul close at 10?

If anyone knows of one that's open past 10, please post the number here. Unreal.

Papa Johns does delivery to 10:30. I think you can do pick-up after that.. I don't know why actually. I'm told that a lot of delivery places close early. yes many are still open late, especially some chinese restaurants, but my korean friends tell me its quite common for a lot of places to close up by 11 or so.

Yeah it's pretty odd. One time I was out with some other teachers on a Friday and we were going to eat at Pizza Hut but they were closing, and it was only about 9:30. Mad

It was in a busy area also, so I'm not sure why they would stop serving pizza at that time on a Friday.

Woa, What is the secret with that Mr.Pizza dough? It has a very strange and subtle, vinegar-like aroma which translates right to the toilet.

Anyone know if Domino's in Korea is using their new dough recipe? Domino's in America recently changed their recipe radically. It is said to taste really great, with a small jalapeno kick.

Domino's Pizza delivers change in its core pizza recipe

Thanks for the tips.

I don't get Korean pizza either. At Mr. Pizza, I saw a roll of spaghetti and a meatball on each slice of pizza. What the hell is that? Also, what the hell is this stuffed potato crust and the weird mayonnaise they put on pizza here?

I just want a friggin cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom pizza. Nothing more. Luckily that's considered a 'base' pizza at Pizza School, and only costs 5,000 won.

If Pizza was as good in Korea as it was in the US, they would be open late.

The Gf and I ordered in a Coconut Shrimp from Pizza Hut last night. It is freakn' delicious and as good a pizza as I have had from a non-authentic Italian restaurant (real pizza from a proper pizza oven blows away any of the pizza shack derivatives).

Pricey though. 26,000won. For a medium. Shocked Confused

During summertime the solution to this is to get a pizza that is good tastin' when its cold. Something like Pepperoni, Green Peppers and Onions with extra sauce. Get it at 5 with your normal pie and throw the other one in the fridge for drunkin munchin.

Maybe they've all gotta go drive cabs for drunk hour. OR maybe they are getting squeezed by the KimBap places/street fooders for 24 hour business.

Isn't Gucci Mane supposed to chime in with "Ayyo where da pizza at up in this?"

All the pizza places I know in Seoul, Mok-dong close around 11. I often head down to the local Pizza Maru for pizza at 10:30 or so. We also have Pizza School and Papa John's.

The worst pizza I ever ate in Korea was the Sweet Potato Pizza at Pizza School. Sweet potatoes, ok. Honey mustard....no. Since Pizza School is so dang cheap, I'll probably end up there again sometime.
