I've never been in Korea before, and I may be moving to Sanbon next month. I know Korea is technologically advanced, so should I assume I can expect the internet to be at least on par with what I'm used to in the US? |

From my experience of the internet in many parts of the US, you will find the Korean internet fast beyond your wildest imagination.
Christ, one hotel in Houston was proud to confirm they had internet! It was dial up!!! |

I've found that while the internet here isn't guaranteed to be as fast as the internet back home, it's certainly a lot more cheaper considering what you get in return. |

I've heard of people downloading huge torrents at ridiculous speeds, so I was just curious. I'm sure there are different internet packages you can get...with different speeds.
Good to know it's not too expensive. |

The internet is much faster than in the US or UK. I've had occasions where I've downloaded a 700MB file that was well seeded within 1-2 minutes. |

For my speedtest.net testing, I average 85-95Mbps here in Korea. I was lucky to reach 15Mbps in the States |

Obviously speeds vary, if you live in a city it will be faster..if you live in an apartment building it will be faster again... |

Depends on what you had back home. If you had dial up or some slow dsl. It will be much better. Don't worry even at it's worse it's definitely a livable situation. |
