| I wanted to stay and travel within Asia after my contract was up.Maybe fly to Thailand...etc. I figure this would save the school some $ on the flight cost. Yet my recruiter suggested it was unusual and would have to see what the school thought. Is this unusual? |

No. My first year I got my ticket home refunded with a 10% penalty and used it to fly around the world to a few different places.
This year I'm going to SE Asia for a month before coming back to Korea for a few days and my school is booking my ticket home for a month later. If I didn't want to go home, apparently the school would give me 700k in lieu of a return ticket.
How would the recruiter know in the first place? After the person in placed in the school, they're pretty much done with said person. Why would they follow up to see what they're doing once their contract is up?
Talk to the boss. Hopefully there's something you can work out somewhere along the line. |
