Right before Christmas, I bought myself a brand new lens for my trip to Thailand and Cambodia. I leave and have a fantastic trip. I take amazing photos with it.

Waiting for me in the mail upon my return is a Christmas present from the mother. What do you know, it's the exact same lens.

So, up for sale is a brand new, never been used
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens (with a US warranty).
I'd like to get as close to 175,000 won for it as I can. Email me with an offer. After shopping around Yongsan and Namdaemun, this was the going rate at all the stores.

Alternatively, if you'll be in Korea for a particularly long time, I'd be willing to sell the Korean warranty lens that I bought here (not the US lens my mom bought) for a little less. It wasn't my main lens in Thailand/Cambodia, so it only has around 50 photos taken on it right now.

first off,
the 130k on danawa is a grey-market / no warrant lens. i was seeing the regular ones on there for 145k. with that in mind, i was able to get the price a little lower at namdaemun, trying multiple stores, though they were definitely hard to budge.

FWIW Nikon does not honor international guarantees. If the lens has a US warranty then you can get it serviced in the US. It might be fine if you're planning on going back soon (I'd just get it there, in that case), but if you're worried about a good warranty, I would buy a new or lightly-used Korean model.

By the way -- gray market means that it was imported by someone other than Nikon Korea. In effect, that makes your lens also a gray market lens.
