I have three job offers: TOMORROW LANGUAGE INSTITUTE [Donghae], YALE [Daegu], TOPIA [Changwon]. Does anyone know ANYTHING about these places??? I cant find a lick of info on the web.

By the way, I am a newbie around here, though I have been reading your posts for a few days, and I am glad to finally be corresponding with you all. Thanks for having me.

Grace and Peace, bruce carroll

I have heard of YALE. I know a few people that work there. It is a serious hagwon. They treat the teachers pretty nice. They have over 20 foreign teachers at their different schools. Plus Daegu City is nice.

Good Luck.

daegu is nice????? Skippy, it is not bad but I wouldn't call it nice. Boiling hot i summer(the hottest spot in Korea) and frrezing in winter and semi-permanantly shrouded in smog due to the mountain ring surrounding it. Has a good scene though

Hey - I said Daegu is nice. I didn't say it was great or the best. For me it is ok and nice place to live. I think DAEGU is easier to live in then some other places. Small towns can be hard - as you are the only foreigner. Daegu is also a good city to start in. Plus the school the poster is asking about YALE is a quiet a good school.

I worked at yale a year ago. there are two different yale businesses, owned by two different people... one is fantastic. one is crap. the fantastic one(where i worked) is located in Bomo Dong and Shiji dong. The crap one is in Sungseo.
the only bad thing i can say about yale is that they have video cameras in the classroom. but these days,, thats becoming the norm. also, they will retain a 500,000won deposit from your severence pay until it is confirmed that you paid your final utility bills and your apartment is in good shape. if you are serious about your job, you will be rewarded in turn. its a very big school, with great resources. the apartment i had was fantastic, two rooms, with air-con....15 minutes walk from the school.
