Costco tires are really well made, but they cost a arm and a leg. I noticed that you just bought a car. Unless you are driving more than 15k kilometers a year a recommend that you go with Hancook tires a Korean company. They are a good tired, bought and used them in Alaska, and they are about 1/2 the cost of the Costco. Just my thoughts, let me know if you find some better deals.

Well, seems the Costco tires are about the same (my car's size) as everywhere else. I'm sure it varys a lot by size.

I took a 2nd look at my tires, and I may not be in need of new ones just yet. Actually, just two. Problem is that they put the wrong sized tires on my car. They're close, but not exactly right... thus my speedometer is off by 5-7kmh at 100 kmh. Also, if I make a VERY tight turn, I can tell because of slippage noise.

I think I know why they did that. This size is very close to the high-spec size for my car, which incidentally sell for about 35,000 per tire more than the low-spec models. Buying this "in between" size not meant for the car, they saved 25,000 per tire but look cool like the high-spec ones. Also, the car sits up a smidge higher compared to others of the same model (identical car, year, color in the same lot as ours). My wife and I were staring at them wondering why ours looked neater for some reason. It looks more prestigious sitting up just a tiny bit higher.

I'm going to keep an eye on them to make sure they're not a problem otherwise. Was interesting researching that.
