also, are there any programs that you can use to ensure no-one can access your MMS (or any other application) without punching in a password. b/c right now i punch in a password and once i do that all the apps are available to open. i would like a two password system i guess.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone, there's an app called Lockdown that does exactly that. You can passport protect individual apps.

I have both YBM and nexus dictionaries-they both suck. I find just using iTranslate's free app works better than any Korean-English dictionary.

My favorite is app is probably Avatar the game. Wasn't a big fan of the movie, but the game is cool.

Besides subway maps...and maps, haven't found a decent Korean app yet. Interesting though that one of the most popular Korean apps is a gay friend finder. And the other top selling apps are nude Japanese girl photo apps--which aren't really apps, just photo sets.

i like Dragon Dictation, it's free, and you can just say whatever andit will record and covert it into text which you can then store or send via text message...

i was wondering if there is a similar program for Korean? that would be pretty sweet.

For the Busanians in the crowd I recommend 부산버스 which tells you how long until your bus arrives. All you have to do is type in the code that is on the bus stop sign and you're good to go! Remember, minute is 분

Do most (all?) of the games apps allow you the option to listen to your own music rather than game music/sound?

Slingplayer for the Iphone now works on 3G

http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2010/02/att-will-allow-optimized-sling-app-for-iphone/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Index+3+%28Top+Stories+2%29%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher

I wonder if people who buy the Slingmedia App, outside of the US appstore, is going to get the same "optimized" connection. It seems stupid to punish everyone in the world just because AT&T's network sucks.

I used to watch my Slingplayer over 3G with the 3G Unrestricter in the States (I had an unlimited data plan), glad to see they officially made it WiFi and 3G capable.

But do you have any idea how quickly the ludicrous data plans here in Korea would be sucked up running Slingplayer in 3G? Using for about an hour would ring up at least 1 GB

The YBM English Korean English dictionary seems pretty good, I downloaded it yesterday.

Today I spotted Lingopal Korean. It's a talking phrase book. It's free and has so many phrases. The native voice speaks a bit fast for my liking but I think it could come in handy!

The YBM dictionary is the best out there, especially with the new update. Anything you search for gives extensive translation and use with tons of example sentences. Everything is clickable so you can translate back to make sure you're picking the right word.

iTranslate is powered by google and we all know what a gong show things translated by google can be.

Also translating a single word only gives you 1 definition and doesn't even give the entire translation.

How does that remotely work better?
