Yes, it is possible. I know of a woman in Ulsan who is teaching in a hogwan. She is married to a Korean and has a residency certificate or such and that entitles her to the same employment rights as a Korean. She is not employed as a native speaker, she is employed as an English teacher. Immigation were never involved in her employed. She was employed as were all the other Koreans at that school, as salaried workers. |

| i have heard that if you teach in the schooling system - elementary, middle or high schools that it is still illegal to take privates even if you are a permanent resident or even a real korean. something to do with knowing the information needed for the exams at school. |
This is very true. |

I'd like to know too. I mean after being here 7yrs and being married to a Korean you would think I wouldn't need to deal with immigration EVERY year. |

Basically we wanna know this:
What can we do, as men married to Korean women, to put immigration out of our employment process. What visas, other than the F2-1, can we get so that we can get any job(s) we want without having to get permission. Im sure Mr.Pink feels the same way: I HATE IMMIGRATION and having to ask them for permission like they are my daddy or something. |

I have some information (from immigration) that it is possible to get a permanent residence after two years of marriage to a Korean. But you must live those two years in Korea. They deduct the time spent out of country. That is the only info I have. I am going to apply near soon, I hope, so I'll keep you informed.. |
