Yeesh. Not the best time to go, but it's doable in February. You can still walk around on Haeundae beach if the wind's not too bad. I like Nampo-Dong meself. Walk around the street markets and have some food, shop at the new Lotte department store, see the view from the rooftop walk.
You can people-watch at night in Nampo-Dong, and there's some nightlife in the university areas. I used to go to a club called the Monk, and there's some shmancy places at the Haeundae hotels. But other posters will know more about this. |

Nampo-Dong is walkable to the International Ferry Terminal, or you can go north one subway stop. It won't be hard to find love hotels in the area, but if you want to be sure, go a few more subway stops north to Busan Station, or to Haeundae.
Tourists are always encouraged to go to Texas Street, near the station, but I find it sleazy and not very safe at night. |

Jun's in Seomyeon is a very nice hostel. I always tell my friends to go there when they come to visit me (well, it's close to my house too). Seomyeon is a city center so there are lots of clubs, bars, restaurants and shops, plus a couple of casinos.
To find Jun's google Jun's hostel or June Fortuneteller.. he has a couple of different websites, I think.
As for things to do, there's the Aquarium... not as nice as many I've been to in other places, and the Modern Art Museum... It's warmer than Seoul down here, but it's still cold, so I'd go for the indoor things. |

There are a lot of motels by Haeundae. The ones I've been in range from about 20k-40k and they were nice, clean, good-looking places. |

Love motels aren't by definition for groups, they're for couples! There will be exceptions, but I think that if you are going in a group it will be easiest to ask for two adjoining rooms. The suites are not big. Some larger hotels will have porn-y heart-shaped beds or jacuzzis or special rooms, and there might also be twin bed rooms.
Don't worry about this a lot. In places like Haeundae, love hotels are never terribly subtle. Follow the neon and choose one! |
