| so I'm about to send my info and visa confirmation number to the Atlanta consulate. The school wants me in Daejeon by February 3rd. I live about 5 hours away and am wondering if it is possible to do a phone or skype interview with someone at the consulate instead of doing it in person. If worse comes to worse I can make the trek to ATL but am trying to avoid it since I will already be tying up lots of loose ends with personal and work affairs very last minute before I leave. |

they won't let you do a phone interview. If its your first time you have to do the interview in person.
I also had to drive about 5 hours. That was rough. (It was the day before I had to go to Korea).I hated driving so far for a short interview. The interview was probably less than 10 minutes, but you have to be there. |
