1.Purpose of this contract
The teacher will teach and train students at the time and place designated by
the institute and encouraged to develop educational programs for students.
During the term of this agreement, the teacher must follow and comply with
the institute's policies and guidelines stricity.
2.Duration of contract
This contract is valid for 12month,2010.3.8 ~ 2011.3.7
Through a mutual agreement, the contract can be renewed.
3.Teaching time
Teacher will teach 30 hours a week from Monday thru Friday,120 hours a month
and the classes will be splited from early morning to late evening.
Any classes over 120 hours a month will be considered as overtime teaching and
20,000 won per hour will be paid for it.
Teacher will work according to the institute's schedule and should follow
schedule changes which may occur.
4.Living accommodations and Travel expenses
The institute will provide rent free apartment.
All utilities(electricity,water,gas)will be covered by the teacher.
The teacher can have their own telephone registered by their own name,that
means the teacher has to take charge of all about the phone bill.
5.Payment
2,100,000won will be paid as a monthly payment on the pay day.
The pay day is 1ST.
6.Holidays and Vacation
Five days paid holidays including sick leave per year shall be given to the
Teacher and other vacations shall be decided by the Istitute.(during summer&
winter vacation) Regarding unused paid holidays, the teacher will be allowed
to leave Korea 5 days early at the successful completion of this contract term
7.Airplane ticket
The institute will pay for the cost of air ticket(economy class) from to the
teacher's nearest airport in case of completing the contract successfully.
The airfare for round trip will be reimbursed the half on your arrival and
the rest half will be paid when you complete your contract.
8.Medical Insurance
You are required to pay the half of insurance fees which approximately costs
250,000won(total) in a year, it will be deducted from your first salary.
9.Other Employment
According to Korean visa regulations,the teacher must not accept any other
employment in Korea.
10.Taxes
The teacher is responsible for payment of all personal taxes(5%)from the
teacher's payments according to the Korean laws.
11.Severance pay
Upon successful completion of this contract, the institute will pay the teacher
one month salary as severance pay.
12.The employee shall prepare teaching materials for each class beforehand and
will be honest and diligent in teaching students in all classes.
13.Professional dress and grooming in the work place are essential to
maintaining the desired repution of the Institute. The employer shall establish
guidelines for professional dress.
14.The employer shall request the resignation of the employee,if the employee is
found to be guilty of gross misconduct in the execution of his teaching duties.
If this gross misconduct brings a negative effect to the classes,the employer
may annul the contract and dismiss the employee and shall be free from any legal
responsibility. However,prior written notice is required to ensure that the
employee is given adequate opportunity to correct his misconduct.
15.If many of the employee's students complain about the classes,or if the
students enrolment falls below the accepted average for the third consecutive
month, the employee will be required to attend teacher training or other
teachers classes as requested by the director.
16.Principal of good Faith
The institute and the teacher shall execute the terms and conditions of this
agreement upon the principal of good faith.
Grounds for dismissal are as follows:
A.If the students and/or fellow co-workers complain of certain behaviors
regarding the teacher(abusive or foul language,coming to work under the
influence of alcohol,etc).in this case,the Dean will review the complaints and
if significant reasons are found,the teacher will be dismissed.
B.If the teacher is constantly late,he will receive a few warnings.
C.Any harrassment of students and co-workers.In this case,the Dean will review
complaints and if significant reasons are found,the teacher will be dismissed.
D.If the teacher is convicted of a felony such as rape,assault,or robbery,
the teacher will be dismissed.
E.In case of finical difficulties by the institute and the institute is forced
to close,the teacher will be given 1 1/2 month notice.
F.In case of termination of contract before the completion of this one year
service by the teacher,the teacher is to return to the institute the cost of
the airfare and half - month salary.
17.Duty of secrecy
The teacher shall not disclose any of contents of this agreement to a third
party without a prior permission of the institute.and violation of this portion
of the contract will cause the teacher to be responsible to compensate
the institute for all the losses suffered by the institute.
Two parties have read,understood and agree to the above stated terms and
conditions on the date above written.

nope...the location will be the location on your ARC

so they decide when you can use your holidays, but then they'll say take them at the end of the contract...posibly forcing you to leave early and break contract=no year end bonus
