Booze cruise on the Han....sounds like a great idea--plus all you can drink Alley Kat and microbrewed beer!
My buddy sent me the link yesterday for the Booze Cruise Party on the Han River...i'll post it for everyone else. Saturday Feb 6th....

Who's in for dressing up like a pirate and drinking copious amounts of beer?

The first picture that went through my mind when I read that was the Mud Festival thing on a boat. Anyone else? |

It's thru Kabrew, so the beer's good. And it's only two hours, meaning you can't get too ridiculously snookered. I bought my ticket at RMT on Tuesday, I'm pretty |

C-Money,
Isn't getting ridiculously snookered the point of it being all-you-can-swill?
Anyway, this bar usually offers 10,000W for an entire night of drinking the same beer... the idea sounds nice in the summer, but in the winter I worry it'll be too cold to enjoy the views and be all seaworthy and whatnot. I have an off-putting image of a bunch of white dudes doing their drinking huddled up inside some ugly fishing vessel.
A few minutes later, after looking up the event one more time and finding it somewhat appealing, I just realized I have the Killers concert that night anyway. Alack. |

Man, sounds like a blast. I could probably tip 10 pints in 2 hours to get my
money's worth. Unfortunately I have a 7 week baby girl at home and if
I split to jump on a boat my wife would most likely cut my junk off. |

Jesus ISD you almost revealed my identity. That would be catastrophic.
Also includes a free taco (!!!! LOOK MA A FREE TACO !!!!!) and a free shot at RMT. Plus the cost of the boat cruise and the novelty of drinking outdoors in the winter at night on a boat in the middle of a major metro center. As I'm out of KoKo next month, I will say it may be a few thousand won above the market price but it's worth it. |

i'm sure if people showed up 20 min early...i bet those good folks that put this on would be able to pass out some beers
From my intel....the boat is a pirate boat--a heated pirate boat. Plus afterwards, you can just hop on one of their buses for the afterparty at RMT....
Not a bad idea--i'm going to buy 5 tix today---see ya'll there! |

Are you reluctant to reveal your identity for fear it will hinder or compromise you somehow from fighting crime?
Damn, mon frere... you just convinced me. Damn Killers. Of course I'm supposed to take the lady to that one, but no words have been spoken since last I saw you... |

meh meh
I dunno man, this boat cruise does lil for me
i) don't really want to do it in winter, plus if it starts at 7 or even 6:30, no sunset or any good view like that
ii) han river itself - the han is good from far, but far from good, you get too close to the water and it smells horrible
iii) 40,000 is still too much, unless there is some real kick ass food there, you can drink nearly ANYWHERE in seoul and won't spend 40,000 per person in 2 hours. |
