There are a fair few people here that work at a public school without being part of one of the government sponsored programs...
If you fall into this category, does your school use the same pay scale as one of the above-mentioned programs or do you get a bigger or smaller salary than those with the same experience with EPIK/SMOE/GEPIK?
I'm not asking people to reveal their exact salaries. I am just curious if the majority of people following that route end up better off or worse off financially.
How about at contract renewal time? Has your salary been going up faster or slower than those with EPIK etc? |

I was in that position.
You may not have been hired by GEPIK (or one of the other programs) but the school still has to follow the same guidelines (unless it is a non-government funded school).
This goes for pay scales as well as most of the other benefits.
There SOMETIMES is a bit more latitude when it comes to desk warming during student vacations (but you aren't supposed to leave the country) during this time.
