I thought you wrote a very informative post Novakart, whether or not Hindsight was trolling, at least I learned something
I have a love/hate thing with LotR, on the one hand there's sexy men and epic tales (what's not to love!?), but on the other, I thought the endless battles were too much for my nerves. I esp. hated the second movie, war after war after war after war... Guess I have to agree with Novakart on that one.

| I guess I'm a pacifist troll. I liked the first movie, with the nice, peaceful hobbits and the beautiful farmland. The second movie seems to be unending mayhem. |
I'm gonna try to read the books though...someday.
I do wish people would stop "trolling" public forums. I just really don't understand the appeal. Most people come looking for real advice or just want to have a bit of a chat, why all the sarcasm, negativity and mean-spiritedness?
And I third Novakart's last comment as well. |

To really understand the LOTR trilogy, you really need to see this clip from Clerks 2;

I think Randal summed up the "trilogy" very well.
I remember when I saw this part of the movie at MMC (not the highest point in my existence), all the girls in the theater swooned when Orlando Bloom walked in- jeez! |

OK, I finally finished The Two Towers. That was a long movie, 223 minutes. But at least the last 10 minutes are credits. I only watched the first five -- did I miss anything?
I do seem to have missed something, though. Why is it called "The Two Towers"? |

because the story was divided into one which mostly focused on orthanc (sarumans tower) and another which was focused on barad-dr (sauron's)
it makes more sense in the book - like all things |
