Not a lot of work now - now that "the library" has been built. I'll be redesigning navigation next and content should be much more accessible.

Also, you can share any page now - that will make a difference in the ability to share.

lifeinkorea - I hope you aren't one of those Wiziq spammers! Mark does a great job (and I use authorstream a lot) but I get fed up with the level of spam from them.

For a very simple user interface for elearning/teaching, I prefer our own Scribblar

Just drag an asset (or upload your own photo/document) and talk about it using the whiteboard with students. No registration and make your own room throw away virtual room in an instant.

I must concur with life in Korea, though that happens rarely, I find dd's website to be like a library with all the books on the floor. I find it very difficult to find something quick and easy.

Personally, I think that Dave should charge you for advertising your website. I know that you are trying to offer something to inexperienced teachers in order to improve the overall standard of English in Korea, but you are also selling advertising and probably have some kind of outside funding.

I don't think that I have ever seen a post by DD that didn't some how link back to his own site. Barnum and Bailey would be proud. You are a shameless self promoter. Which I guess isn't necessarily bad, but it is a little annoying day after day hearing you toot your own horn.

As I stated it is a good thing to offer advice and in general websites like DD's are a good thing.

I do have a problem with self promotion. I think that if DD offered advice in his posts that would be one thing but most of his posts just reference his own web.

I think if he just paid for advertisement on Dave's that would be better.

Again it is a good thing to offer help to inexperienced teachers, my problems isn't with content it is with shameless self promotion and free advertising to get more hits on his webpage.

Yes, both you two annoy me with your pedantic use of these forums, but it is not your advice it is your delivery. You both come off as self proclaimed experts. Often in your threads you both have pissing contests against each other.

I will have to choose my words more carefully. I usual do, understanding the nature of online communication and how wires often cross.

I wasn't meaning you were spamming nor do I have anything against Wiziq except for that mentioned. I have used it, as I did Edufire, for online teaching.

I've given over 7 years worth of teaching advice on Dave's. TONS. There would be an encyclopedia if printed out. When I talk teaching and give advice, I spend the time to link, give details and detailed reasons and be exact.

Why don't I do so much anymore? --- I have tried and tried but very few people here contribute in any meaningful way when it comes to talking about teaching. Many good teachers have given up talking about "teaching" here. Usually it is all egos and chest puffing, grudges etc.. (as this thread has seemingly become). I've found Dave's is more about job hiring/firing advice now, more than anything about "how to teach".

You see very little of what I do in education. EFL Classroom is a very very small part. Not for self promotion but because I value the profession and the spirit of sharing knowledge (which at the end of the day has given us all the good things we have).
