I always wanted to figure out a way to rob an armored truck. Saddest story ever:
I had a friend who was really pushy in college. He got on my nerves when he acted really insistent. Well, one of his moments was when we were going to drive the 2 hours from our school to our hometown. We had planned on leaving at 1 pm, but he kept saying "Let's go man, come on, I gotta see my girlfriend." He kept pushing and pushing. Finally I caved in.
Well, wouldn't you know it, but at exactly the time we would have been right at that very spot on the highway, and announcement on the radio says an armored trucks doors flew open on the highway and a bunch of money came out. People were stopping their cars to snatch whatever money they could. I never let that one go, and he stopped being so pushy after that. |

After seeing Korean police in action, their lack of brilliance and common sense in this particular case is expected.
I've seen police take a suspect to the station, open the patrol car door, and let the suspect run away without chase.
I've seen a drunk old man steal a policeman's baton and start beating him with it.
I've seen (on TV) police bring a pair of suspects to the station and let then sit side by side, allowing them to concoct a story together.
I've seen police TRY to respond to a domestic violence call in my building, only to do 3 circles around the block before someone next door chased them down.
But, the most entertaining aspect of Korean police work, is bringing brawlers into the station, sitting them down right next to each other, and start questioning them. It takes 5 minutes before the two start fighting again.... yet the police never seem to suspect it might even happen.
It's like they believe they have Jedi powers or something.
I think a visit to the police snitch board only punctuates their grand incompetence. |

I wouldn't say they were much worse than American cops from what I've seen and heard about them! |

American cops have an itchy trigger finger whereas Korean cops don't know where the trigger is  |

So, you're comparing the database provided by 300,000,000people, over decades, who in certain instances were actually trying to elicit exaggerated responses, to short term observations from ME?!?

still they end up catching most people due to the cameras... |
