I got my first bill. 120,000 for the premium plan for one month. I only paid 130,000 for the phone and that is all I have to pay for the phone.

Go to Nespot's home page. You have to register your phones "Wifi Address" to nespot. So, when you connect to a NEspot hotspot, Nespot knows to give you access.

For anyone getting the bigger packages for data only. Get yourself a wibro egg instead.

its around 27,000W a month and is good for 50GB.
Battery is good for 5~ hours and you can charge it on standard cell phone adapters (without any adapter)

It also has a bundle price with any KTF service. My friend has a KTF cell phone and got the egg for me under their account. You get a few % off each bill, so the egg works out to only being around 20,000 a month off a 50,000W phone bill.

When my contract is up in June I'm planning on switching over to an iPhone and I plan to keep the egg with it. I already use it for my touch and its great. You can keep the 100MB for quick/emergency data uses and just switch on the egg when you need it the rest of the time.

Start up usually takes around 20 seconds.

Not exactly. The 2nd gen supports a mic, but it doesn't have one onboard.
However, the earphone/mic set can be bought for around 30,000 at a ton of places, including yongsan, homeplus etc.
It's the combination of both of these, as well as a jailbreak and skype, that makes the 'touchphone' possible.

If you look on gmarket you can get ear buds with a mic for around 8,000W. I got one there about..hmm.. 2-3 months ago. Its cheap, but its held up. Made lots of calls with it everyone can hear me fine.

Anyone have success transferring the account? Like, if you got a Korean to get it for you, did you get it transferred to your name?

I went to a local KT shop with my co-teacher and had no trouble switching how the account would be paid. I just gave them my bank book and my ARC. The account is still in his name, but the monthly bill comes out of my account automatically. Took less than 5 minutes.

From what I understand:

You pay back all the "discounts" you got on your plan. For example, if you got a 10,000w discount each month for your phone plan and you cancel early, then all the months you received the discount, you gotta repay. Then, you gotta pay the full price of the phone.

As for a large early termination fee, I don't think you have to worry about that. I think its just a small fee.

I'm not sure if this question has already been asked, as I didn't get through reading all 24 pages in this thread.. but just thought I'd try.
I'm thinking of getting an iphone, but I'm in Korea 100% only for another 6 months. After that I could be staying or going. I figure I can't buy one in the store here because they seem to only sell them if you get a 2 year plan. I was thinking of getting one online. What I'm wondering is if anyone knows anything about pay as you go in Korea on the iphone, and if I get an iphone online, will I be able to use it in Korea, and then be able to use it back in Canada when I go home?
