Anyone know where to find a Korean notary public? about how much do they charge to legalise signatures and photocopies?

Yeah, this question comes up a lot. You'd have to be completely ignorant not to type "Notary" in the search engine. Just saying...

I just had some documents that needed to be notarized and sent to the states. The service is usually connected to a law office, but not every law office. The cost is around 35,000 won depending on what you are having done. That is what I was charged so it could vary. I was in Chuncheon when I got it done, so I know it doesn't help you in Seoul, but I just thought I would pass along what I knew about using notary services in Korea. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the help. I did type notary in the search, and I got info about notarising docs in the embassies. I need somthing done by a KOREAN notary, not the US, UK, etc embassy.

I used a law office, too.

The fee was also around 35,000 won. The firm translated the document into Hangeul and notarized both the English and Hangeul version.

Only took about two hours.
