I finished the regular 6-level program at SNU while working full-time, but I've got a few months free and am interested in hanging around Korea a little longer and trying to improve my language skills a bit. Does anyone have any experience with the other language programs here (particularly upper levels)? The costs are all pretty similar, and I'm hoping to get decent exposure to vocab and language that would be important for business, not poems and novel excerpts (like we often did at SNU). Any experience or even hearsay is appreciated. Thanks. |

Have you checked into any of the hagwons? They will design a course especially for you; of course it costs more, but you won't be wasting time with poems if you're really interested in business. The ones I know of, Korean Language Academy in Gangnam and Metro Korean Academy near City Hall both offer specially designed courses, probably other hagwons do, too. |

Forget Sogang if you have intermediate or advanced skills in the Korean language.
Try Ewha Womans Univ. I hear the upper levels of its Korean-language program is hard even for native Koreans. |
