no money for vacation?? You have to be joking. I have only been here only a short time and have over 15,000 dollars in the Pusan bank AFTER my trip to Thailand. You must be joking. |
You arrived in Korea on Nov. 15, 2009, worked two months, had time for a vacation in Thailand, and still saved $15,000?
Time to get your stories straight dude. |
My friends back home can't believe it at all either, but it is true.
I did not do it on my own, I had a friend here who had me take over
her cushy job and her privates. That is the main reason I left France. So every weekend I have been teaching at some up scale apartus in Haeundae, the mothers keep calling me, my price went up to 120,000 per group, so calculate 5 hours on sat., 5 hours on Sunday,
and 2 hours per day m-f, PLUS going to lunch (with mothers class) and getting paid the same amount, and I think you will see.
but I understand your thinking...my regular salary is only 2.1 million a month. My school allows me to teach because most of the rich kids also go to my hogwan, so this is just extra publicity. |
This still does not make $15,000. I think you're just bad at math. Or a troll. Yes, probably the latter. |
Oh, right.
you area the one who does not know how to add.
and I did not mean myself, but my "friend"
she gets....................
120,000 PER GROUP, each child pays 20,000 won.
5 hours on sat. This is 600,000
5 hours on sun 600,000
2 hours a day monday to friday this is 10 hours 1,200,000
lunch (2 times a week 240,000)
add this up.....
2,640,000 won per week
10 weeks doing this is 26,400,000
This is excluding the 2.1 million that is my ,salary
and I repeat, this is not me, but my "friend" who had 15,000 in pusan bank. |

well, that explains it, anyways S.E Aisia is awesome!!
I had more fun in my time in Thailand than all my 'good days' put together. good luck, and I think you have a high self esteem to
leave, so many people just stay and rant (I heard about 3 hours of rants at the pub last night, even though I did not speak much) but so many dont move on.It is easy just to stay because of the easy money, and paid for apt..etc...but it really is not worth your LIFE. I am leaving soon too, life is short, and korea was not my cup of tea. |
Korea is better than Thailand on so many levels. |

Speaking of math...My kid asked me to help him with his geography homework but I had to turn him down. I'm just no good at complex math.

I've heard this mentioned a few times, but still don't know much about it. I know what the Eungam Loop is, but what makes it interesting? Might check it out this weekend. |

It's a scene from "Logjammin", which in turn is a fictional movie in the Big Lebowski. It's Peter Stomare (from the VW ads) as Uli Kunkel as Karl Hungus.
How do you keep em down on the farm once they've seen Karl Hungus? |
