- it's FREE utilities

Water, internet, and yes, heat.

I didn't think much of it before coming to Korea, but oh what a God send it is. Nothing is more gratifying than coming home after walking in the biting temperatures of winter's night, only to have a wall of heat blast my face when I open those doors I call home. I run it 24/7 and I'm pretty sure all of the other teachers are doing it too.

I read a thread about some INSANE utility bills people have to stay warm this season. Not me. People were suggesting that others put foam on the windows to insulate the heat, ROFL @ going backwards in technology to stay warm.

Where I come from the people complain when the temperature dips into the 40's (F). I can only imagine how much I'd be shelling out if my job didn't take the tab on heating.

Note to potential people coming here: if you see a job that offers free utilities, SNATCH IT. It has been my "x factor" since I've been here, nice and cozy in casa de joltaxt Surprised

You're supposed to leave the heat on. It's actually economical and better for the broiler. Just put in on the "going out" mode.

My last heating bill was only 55 some odd thousand. But I pay a management fee of 25 grand a month. Think that reduces it.

Anyone who claims that they have the best job on this board doesn't. There's always someone with a better job than you somewhere. Those with the best jobs don't shout it from the rooftops.

However, good for you to get a job that makes you happy.

PS, I have had a job where they paid my utilities. It was nice, but not THAT amazing. Really, it just comes down to more money. I'd rather take the money and use whatever utilities I really need.

LOL the only thing worse than the OP's deal is when you have unlimited heat, but you can't really turn it down. Thus the opening of windows occurs in winter.

I know some people in my area that run the AC in winter cause their heating is THAT good. Funny huh?
