I think that the big difference is in the fries. I never liked the fries in Korea. The difference is usually the oil in which they are fried. If it was corn oil, well the corn tasted different in Korea and it wasn't that good. They were also stingy with the salt.
I did like the breakfast menu. |

But are the Big Macs in the US bigger than here? |
No, they look the same size to me. |

| I dislike Bigmacs. Quarter Pounder with cheese is where its at. Not sold in Korea, however. And the Mcdonalds breakfast in the States is leaps and bounds better than here in Korea. |

What do you mean bigger? Are they taller: No. Are they wider: yes.
Big Macs in the US are wider and shorter because they just throw it together carelessly. When you unwrap it, the bottom patty is halfway out the left side. The top patty is halfway out the right side. Most of the lettuce and onions are on the wrapper, with none of it IN the sandwich. The sauce is squirted half on, half off the sandwich. The pickle slices are folded in half. |

| I read somewhere ages ago that the cost of an Ipod country to country has replaced the big mac test. |

i read this also in an econ textbook last year when i was in college. well not necessarily replace, but they used the ipod and big macs in the examples.
and tho ive only tried it in us, philippines, japan and korea. i would say its different. the meat seems different in each place. that being said, i miss americas big macs, especially cuz with the combo it included the best fries in the world. all the other countries suck at making fries. |

| I think the ipod thing is way more indicative of real costs of living. The ipod is a lot more expensive in Korea than in America. Sure, it's imported and all, but similar Korean mp3 players are also fairly pricey. |
