My husband and I did not submit the paperwork to have our salaries untaxed although it is our first year in Korea (ESL Planet had told us not to do this actually...)
So my question is will the IRS need any proof from us that we paid income tax here in Korea?
If so, what is it that we need? What should we ask for? |

I've never been asked to prove to the IRS that I paid Korean taxes. I was exempt for the first two years (although I never supplied the paperwork) and I paid them for the last two years.
Your income in Korea will be exempt from US taxes, unless your'e making a heck of a lot more than I am. |
