I went up Godangbong of Geumjeongsan (801m) the highest peak in Busan and saw Tsushima Island. You should also be able to see it from Jangsan (634m).

The island is only 50Km away! I suppose the Koreans in the ancient fortress could actually see the Japanese getting ready for an invasion.

It's a great 360 degree view from the top and a tough walk if you don't take the bus/cable car up.

Busan is a great town. The seafood buffet at Oases (sp?) restaurant is unparalleled -- beating hands down anything I've had in NYC, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Frankfurt, Milan...well you get the picture.

Last time I was there, we rented a yacht and took it out for a great day on the ocean...complete with Russian waitresses and drivers at our beck and call.
