Hello!
I've been viewing the forums over the last few days (pretty much spent 24+ hours) trying to absorb the wealth of information on this site, especially in regards to ESL teaching. For example, interviews, recruits, which hagwons, pay scales, resumes, etc. I was pretty excited to get the account activation; it felt like days though i probably waited 24 hours... I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
Im from the States (Seattle, WA) and now living in InCheon-Shi BuPyoung-Gu (인천시 부평구). Been here for about 10+ days now and I actually miss seeing different races like I did back at home. Anyone else live around this area? |

Hi,
Try the multicultural area around Dong Incheon Subway Station. Lots of nice expats and local people hang there, and the local Pinoy bars offer a bottle of Korean beer for about 1,500 won. They'll also point out The Seaman's Club and The Pinoy Restaraunt where decent food from Manila and other places (Russia, North America, U.K.) can be had for less than 10 bucks.
Take good care!
DI
P.S.: Ali Baba's is the best place for good-enough Sashlik, Samsa, Borsht, and other good very tasty dishes from the Rus-Slav Cuisine. Just look for The Pinoy Restaurant and ask the friendly-looking expats around there. Trust me, it'll be alright, etc.

| First Nepal is a nice restaurant across from the parking garage of the Bupyeong Station Lotte Mart. Also Bucheon is close and has a few foreign bars. Try visiting China Town in front of Incheon Station. |

There's a Pakistani owned kebab place in the food court of Bupyeong station. I love it. I eat there several times a week.
If you see an expat walking around, don't be afraid to introduce yourself. Most people I have met up here have been friendly. |

Take the 1 train to Yongsan, then a taxi to "Itaewon, Hamilton Hotel" and you'll see all the different colors of skin imaginable.
Kebabs aplenty, as well as other international delicacies.
Also, N's Pub is a pretty popular foreigner hangout. Friday nights, when it's warmer, it will be packed. |

Yea I live here as well. There are actually a good number of expats here (probably the most of all of Incheon)
As others have mentioned first nepal is amazing Indian food! and the kebab place in the food court is good (itaewan is obvisouly better though)
As for bars theres 3 that mainly come to mind
1) N's pub always a lot of foreigners after 10:30 (before its about 50/50)
2) Goose, Goose this is the classic foreigner bar and still running strong as always
3) last is the new Woodstock, its a nice laid back and chill place compared to the other 2.
All of the bars are in the same area and around the corner really from eachother (like a 2min walk between each) |

From bupyeong subway station in the underground exits 24 and 21 (I believe its been awhile since I bothered to look at the signs) take you right to the edge of the main bar/restaurant area.
To get to N's pub take exit 21 and then then head straight away from the station. You will pass by 3 food stands selling deep-fried crap and sausages. Walk for about 5-6min until you see a K-25 convenience store and then turn left on that little side street. N's pub is on the second floor about 20ft from the road on the left side. It's a black sign with red letters.
From N's if you continue on that side street away from the main road and turn left on the first street, woodstock is on the left side on the second floor. It has a big yellow lighted sign.
Goose is harder to direct, but if you search here you can find good directions from other posters.
If someone else remembers the underground exit numbers better please correct me.
