How do I obtain a U.S. tax certificate? I need something that says I am a resident of and pay taxes to the States. I may have found it (Form 8802) but not exactly sure. Thanks

Yup, that's the form. You pay $35 and send a form in order to receive another form.

i just filled out that form today... alot of it was confusing for me cuz i don't really understand taxes :T

sometimes i feel that SMOE is asking for too much especially with this proof of residency certificate..um duh i live in the U.S. I have a U.S. mailing address-driver's license-passport.....WHY do I need to pay an extra 35$ to prove this to you?? SO annoying.

oh..btw, the form only works if you've filed your taxes for the year before i think.

gluck~~
