After a hearfelt goodbye with all my HS students where we watched an English movie and exchanged email addresses--I was told that I would have to teach one more week of classes!

WTH???!

Now I have no idea what to do! It is graduation week and the students will definitly not want to do any work. Since the movie thing was done, I was thinking of making a powerpoint of my year in review in Korea and showing them things I have come to like about their country and will miss after I leave...yada yada...

Do you think this would be too boring (or arrogant of me) to make them to sit there for 20 min looking at pics of me doing differen things in Korea? Or do you think this will be a positive thing where they feel proud and appreciative of their country?

Opinions? Any other suggestions?

What's your CO-TEACHER doing? Aren't you CO-TEACHING with him/her? Tell him/her that you'll assist in showing movies. Razz

Will you actually be teaching the graduating students? If so, maybe reward them and hand out small candy prizes, but only for the seniors, the others don't deserve it and you don't want to set expectations up too high.

The PowerPoint idea is good. Make it a no-pressure quiz style PP. Also, maybe throw in entertaining youtube clips, save them as a separate file just in case internet access is flakey.
