So I need to send a few packages home to the U.S., and I'm not sure what the best way to do that is. To complicate matters, I leave for work at 9 and usually don't get back until 5, so I'm not sure if the post office will be open when I can get there. Are there private services like FedEx or something? What are the cost-effective options? |

There is FedEx. I have received stuff from them a few times, and they speak English pretty well. Google search it.
Standard mail isn't bad. May take a while to get there if you don't use express shipping. Cool thing about express, they text you when it leaves the country and when it arrives at destination. Kind of like FedEx.
Depends on your boss, if you tell them a day or two in advance.. "Tomorrow, can I pop out for just a bit to mail this? It's for my mom." Mention "mom" or "family" is your free pass to get away with so much here. If I could count to number of teachers that have broken their contracts or left work early because of "family emergency".... haha. |

About the post office, at least some are open until 6 and from 9(?) to 1 on Saturdays. I think the Saturday thing is only at the large locations... but it's the best day to go. Hardly ever a line at all |
