There's a lot to hate about this music, like bo peep bo peep, but it's really catchy.

(even though some of it might be swiped)

1. Wondergirls ~ Nobody

2. 2PM ~ Heartbeat (I joke with my students that Jay returned to the states and he's never returning to 2PM)

3. 2NE1 ~ Fire

7. IU ~ Marshmallow

8. Kara ~ Honey

9. Lee Seung Gi ~ Will You Marry Me

10. Rainbow ~ Gossip Girl

Ignoring the troll....I would add Big Bang Haru Haru to the list...and Epik High...two songs...One and Umbrella.

I would remove Goship Girl...and Bo Peep and Marshmallow!

SNSD is about the only thing decent, and mostly it's because of the hot Korean women.

None of the above.

My favorite K-pop song is:
T-Ara (티아라) & Supernova (초신성) - T.T.L (Time To Love)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZfH7QwSi1I

It's got a good catchy melody and the lyrics actually make sense (i.e. no retarded Konglish). It's about fondly remembering and missing your first love.

A few months ago I loved SNSD's Genie, then I moved onto Kara's Mister and their butt dance, and now I'm liking T-ara's Like the First Time.

Something about the girl groups in this country...

Oh and that "Gossip Girl" is like nails on a chalkboard to me! What's with the lisp! It sounds like "GOSSHIP GUHHHL."

Don't generally listen to it, but "Ice cream" by MC Mong will always have a place in my heart : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYhLfJtjelg The videoclip is surprisingly awesome too.
When I was working kindy hakwon back in 2006 we had an end of year pageant and one of the Korean ETs decided to choreography a dance for all the little kids to this song. I heard it every day for maybe 3 months. The first two weeks I liked it, the next six I hated it, the final two I loved it again and the final performance was so cute. Every time I hear it I think of those adorable little buggers.

EDIT: also, the vid provides an interesting example for the correct way to play the fight intervener in Korea without landing yourself in ummmm well you know. (starts with S)

Yeah, something about a camera shooting upward at ten babes dancing in short shorts saying "Tell me your wish..."

Hmm.. Wonder what I would come up with...

When K-pop stops blatantly plagiarizing Western music, then it will earn a bit more rapport in my book. Most acts are unoriginal pretty faces who have an army of "songwriters."

G-Dragon is a crook.

However, I will admit that the music is infectious and the girls in Kara and other clone groups stop my heart with their looks.

Ahh yeah 처음 처럼 is pretty good. Is it actually an ad jingle for the soju brand? Or is it unrelated?
