As I started to read some posts in this forum, I saw many people who don't like to be in Korea, and criticize everything without thinking about the cultural differences, etc...

"Anyone loves to be in Korea" sounds kind of ESL-ish.
I like Korea. |

Tip for the OP, don't listen to ANYONE here that sounds like they are overly negative (so 99% of the people).
I personally love it here. I like my co-workers, my job, and my city. I'm in that 1% though.
Most people you'll find here hate their lives, their jobs, and aren't having any fun in Korea. It's because they didn't do any research and they aren't smart enough to do anything outside of taking out their frustration out on the internet. Don't let their negativity get to you, enjoy your time in Korea.

I wonder if there are any people who loves to be in Korea and loves Korean people??? |
I think pretty much everyone can handle cultural differences. It's the blatant rudeness/selfishness that is tough to love. |

I really like it here. Miss it when I'm gone for more than a week. The only regret I have is not being closer to my family. |

Yeah, actually it is kind of weird... I don't understand people; if they don't like it, then why they live in here? |

I asked that same question. Guess what the response was? 0 concrete answers and just more negativity.
LOL your guess is as good as mine |

The truth is that many of us have a kind of love/hate relationship with Korea. It just happens that for many of us, we love Korea more than we hate it. But the things that we hate, can drive us crazy sometimes. |

i think some people that hate it here make it a year, two years, five years, then sign another contract, then finally realize they actually hate it, but are respectable people so they honor the contract they signed and tough it out. i think its better to have people who hate it here but put a smile on their face and get the job done than people like fromtheuk who pull runners then come back on here to talk about how awesome they are. |

I love Korea. I like Korean people for the most part. I like it when drunk Adjeosshis ask me stupid questions and give me shots of whiskey. I like it when kids come up to me in the street. I enjoy teaching kids. I like how 3:30 AM in Korea is like 11:30 PM back home. I like always meeting new people, I like how taxis are everywhere, I like DVD rooms and I like noraebangs. Some of the K-pop songs that are always playing everywhere are pretty good.
I'm back home now and the nightlife sucks, my old 'friends' are morons, you have to watch yourself everywhere you go, taking a taxi would cost you 7-10 bucks and you have to call a number and wait for it, crappy R&B/ chick-hop music is always playing and most of the girls are overweight. That's why I'm going back to Korea within the next month and I can't wait. Matter of fact, living in Korea has told me that I want to spend the rest of my youth living abroad whehter it be Korea, Japan, South America or Europe. |

Anyone who "loves" Korea will not last long here. It's a newbie emotion part of that culture shock thingamajig.
Anyone that trully enjoys living in Korea are people (in my bold assumption please forgive me) are those that first understand Korea given it's pros and cons and can: 1) accept and adapt to the cons and 2) learn the positive aspects of Korea and focus primarily on those.
But to give in to a raw emotion such as "love" and "so much fun", or "Korea is the best country" are likely to have their hearts broken in no time. Then begins the hate...
For me, it's a country I can understand, relate to, learn much about, and still feel happy and content to live in for possibly the rest of my life. That would be true "love" or Korean "Jeong", I guess. |

I love to be in Korea.
I loved Geoje Island and I'm lovin' Seogwipo on Jeju Island. I love my job and my students are great. I love several Korean food dishes and the time I have to do homecooking myself. I love my korando jeep and free time and the beauty of the mountains and beaches of this country. I love the easy life and the travels I've had and will have. I love the freedom, the lax police and the lack of social pressure I feel. I love being an expat rather than a native. I love seeing strange behaviour and feeling like the world's a bit offkilter around me, keeping things interesting.
There are several things I don't like about Korea as well. And only a few things I truly detest to the point of using the word "hate". |

I LOOOOOOOVE Korea. But only when combined with another country for optimal living.
Korea.
Love the food. Love the little back alleys filled with food/alcohol stands. Love the mountains. Love the old Hanok architecture. Love the comraderie people have in older, traditional neighborhoods as they see each other, know their neighbors, talk to one another, etc (something largely gone in the concrete development projects as well as in most of the US).
The only depressing thing is that South Korea doesn't realize that the old hanoks, the old neighborhoods, the old traditions, the old villages, the old way of life are what make Korea special. They've been in such a hurry to 'develop' that they've bulldozed over their cultural heritage.
Nothing depresses me more than a walk through Bukchon, looking at what could have been if large swaths of the city could just have been preserved. |
