I'm thankful that the few high school experiences I still remember have lost the emotional part of the memory. I forget all the rest of it, except the best books I read and best games I played to escape from my horrible horrible emo life. Smile

Give it a rest, bub. You're not impressing anyone. You do not step outside of a box metaphorically. You don't do it physically. You think outside of it.

Wow! Being told that I am not allowed to make a creative and perfectly comprehensible metaphor all by my lonesome self. Me bad. Would tip toe outside the box, push yourself outside the box, sidle out of the box, contemplate, consider, ruminate, reflect, out of the slightly creaky, oak and maple box do?

I can only try. Crying or Very sad

Anyway you look scrawny. I could just punch you in the balls.

Back in high school, when I was a less mature person, I had a boyfriend who was this same argh men are men! type. I used to make him cry for fun. If his big tough heavy metal listening friends ever knew what a huge baby he actually was....

Ever since I've never taken a man who makes claims like that seriously at all.

Ego tripping again, Picasso? You just like weak men. Get over yourself. You're such a little kid.

Don't care a whit for weak men, actually. Which is why I learned early on to avoid men who carry on about how real men do this and real men don't do that. Not only are they insecure enough to let other people's opinions about them supersede their own, they're also line-followers, which is boring.

We've just got pretty different views on the world, Gipkik. You think women who step outside of society's rules for them are sluts, and men who step outside of society's rules for them are weak. I think the people who fall into both categories are generally the best to be had. Different strokes.

I don't think this fellow appreciates your humour.

Never have I appreciated more a person than one who can reconcile her internal inconsistencies. There is a definite and exciting beauty in the meandering line, a line that bears chaos but is driven by internal order, a natural construction of differing materials, that draws a line like a volcanic division, this way and that, paradox without contradiction.

Dave's is the most fun after a bit of wiskey. Like Gipkick, I'll stand by what I write. Except what I write will make sense. Different strokes indeed.

Jesus, get a room guys.

I could give a S*** what women think or men in any case. It takes a lot not to cry and if your so shallow as not to release your emotions well too bad. As long as you don't dwell on it. The old saying is real men don't cry. Well it may be true but those same real men used to die of stress related diseases as well.

I feel akward around people when they're crying. I feel like I should be comforting the person but I don't really know how to do that other than just say something like "it will be allright," that kind of thing. And I'm not the hugging type except with family members.

I would feel really embaressed to cry in front of other people. Of course some people are more open with their emotions and that's fine. Tammy Faye Baker comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with men crying from time to time.

Sometimes I cry when I'm drunk or when someone close to me dies.

These are uncontrollable emotions and not easily contained at times.

If a man or a person generally, cries over insignificant,small things,then it's a problem .

Yep, Greeks call it "catharisis" - cleaning the soul. However, it is a private matter. You're not supposed to walk around in public crying every time you want to feel better.

this is so ridiculous.
no matter what the reason is, if a guy feels comfortable enough with me to be vulnerable and honest and CRY, i can't help but find that endearing.

This is fine, and I agree with your sentiments 110%.
