So I'm sending documentation for a Visa and they're asking for two "passport-sized photos". Of course not one website pertaining to teaching english in Korea and/or getting a Visa for Korea gives you actual dimensions....just "passport-sized photo". Are they looking for 3.5x4.5cm photos or 2x2in photos? American passport photos are now 2 x 2 inches, but they used to be 3.5 x 4.5 centimeters as are current non-American passport photos.

3.5x4.5, to answer your quite legitimate question.

sorry, didn't mean to be obtuse about it. All i meant was when I go to get pictures i simply tell them " I need a passport photo" and its done.

If it is with the passport and visa application form being sent to the embassy for the actual visa then 3.5 x 4.5cm.

If it is for the JOB application then anything in the approximate size will do (wallet size is fine).
