|
|
Hey guys, just wanted to ask if anyone recently applied for their Visa at the Toronto consulatehow long did the process take for you to receive your Visa?
If you have had an E2 Visa in the past, do you have to do the Visa interview? |

3 weeks...
Got mine August of 2008... Took all my documents in and was told to come back 3 weeks later for my f-ing interview (only K-Consulate in the world that required interviews at the time)... Interview took 3 minutes, had my visa 2 days later, was on a plane 2 days after that... |

I applied a year ago and didn't have an interview (apparently because I'm with EPIK) and it took 6 days to get my visa after I handed in the paperwork. I did everything at the consulate in Toronto, no mailing. |

I mailed my documents to Korea last week, will I still need to take documents in to the consulate? My recruiter assured me I have a good amount of time but I know they'll say anything |

The Toronto consulate has actually gotten much quicker when it comes to the interview. I've seen most interviews scheduled in a week and the Visa returned the same day.
Immigration services in Korea are taking a bit longer than usual though because of the increase in applicants for the coming school year.
Compared to last year though things are definitely much faster overall. |

Possible that I just got caught up in a combination of them being understaffed (one person doing interviews once a week) and lots of applicants applying all at once for August start dates...
Good to hear that they've sped things up...
Is that really bitchy woman still working the visa counter?
(Sterotypical K-princess who thinks that because she works for the government and speaks elementary school English that she is God... Not a joke, go read some of the old posts about the T.O. consulate ) |
