How much is a member ship now?

Can I use that membership at Costcos in other countries like the US?

I heard two different people can sign up and share a single membership. Is that true? Would we each get a different card?

Couldn't I just borrow someone elses card? Do they check ID?

I think the membership is 35,000won, cheaper than the US.

You can use the membership in other countries, like the US, but if so you need to tell them its a international card, otherwise they get an error.

Two people can share a single membership, the second person is the "spouse" and you each get your own card with picture.

They usually look at the picture on the back on the card when you check out, so if you look like the person you're borrowing the card from you should be fine. But if not, then you'd probably need your own card.

Was 35,000 won when I bought it. You can use that membership around the world. They'll notice it wasn't made in the USA but I had no problems using it back home. You can usually get in without a card or just flashing the card quickly, but at checkout they usually check the card more carefully so unless you look like the picture on the card, it won't work.

Or you can just go with someone with a card.

Thanks. I think I'll just go and drop the 35 for a membership.

I've been doing pretty well shopping between going to Homeplus and the Foreign Market in Itaewon, but neither place is carrying Chili Beans anymore. I hope they at least have pinto beans at Costco. Refrieds at the Foreign Market were 4500 for one can. (rip off)

Can't say I've noticed pinto beans at costco, only brown beans in tomato sauce and red kidney beans.

I did have success one time using a co-worker's card. We looked nothing alike except we were white males in their 20's. They even looked at the picture and tried to match it up to me; I guess they were satisfied with the resemblance.
