I LOVE GINGERALE!
Does anyone know if they have this beverage in Korea?
I was thinking of bringing a few cans with me...because I LOVE THIS STUFF!
I have been to Hong Kong and the closest thing they have to gingerale is ginger beer...which is not the same.
any info helps!
THANKS! |

Dunno about the rest of the country, but it's fairly easy to find in central Seoul.
Try mixing it with Absolut Vanilla vodka...it'll change your life. |

I've seen gingerale at Olive Young. I've also seen it randomly in coffee shops. I've also seen it at Department stores. |

its amazing but dangerous - the more vodka you put the better it tastes, it only takes a couple to write me off for the night |

I buy it regularly from the liquor section in my local e-mart. They are all different though. So don't count on it being at yours. |

This man is very wise.
I could go for some Vernor's. |

Canada Dry gingerale is canned in this country and available everywhere I've lived, though indeed hard to find, as only a small percentage of supermarkets seem to carry it in Gyeongsangnam province. |

As a Michigander who was raised on the stuff, I agree wholeheartedly. The history of Vernors is interesting:

Mom's side of the family is from Michigan and I grew up drinking that stuff. I'll always remember the vapor that comes off the bottle right after you crack it open...trying to take the first sip in nearly impossible. |

Canada Dry's ginger ale is just a tad less gingery than Seoul tap water. Vernor's or any old-fashioned ginger beer is the real deal. That stuff they sell at Olive Young is probably just Canada Dry in a new can or the same one with a different label slapped over it.
I remember making ginger ale at summer camp...maybe it's easier than trying to buy it. |
