The Wire was good, especially the first season, but I feel like it never quite lived up to greatness. Too much McNulty with his I'm an alcoholic who loves my kids schtick, too much Lesbian butt kicker. Too much over the top Daniels. The chemistry between Rosenblack and Guildenhick wasn't quite real. Basically they needed more Baltimore and less police. That docks subplot just killed the momentum too.
Omar and the Barksdale crew and Stringer made the show.
The Corner was the far better Baltimore drug show. Homicide was the far better Baltimore cop show. |
