Can anyone point me to some instant coffee without sugar? I've seen folgers instant in the foreign markets in itaewon, but it's way overpriced and itaewon is two hours from my house on the subway. So far, the only instant coffee I've found in Emart and Lotte mart has sugar in it (I can't stand sugar or powdered creamer in my coffee). Is there a particular one that doesn't? I'd buy a coffee pot, but I only have 9 months left, and hate to spend the money.

Yes, I know this is a nit-picky thing, but still-- it would make my morning just a little brighter to have some halfway decent coffee.

Almost all stores have the instant without sugar and milk in it. You just cant buy the small one serving packs. Get the larger bag (I think) 300 grams. The Taster's Choice Supremo is the one I use if I want coffee at work.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh. You can get it anywhere. The easiest way is to look at the total weight on the package- Mixes with sugar and milk weigh 3-4 times as much as just black, instant coffee. Alternately, it's also available in glass screw top jars in literally any grocery store.

Also, just get a pot. $18 at Homeplus.

Maxim. Look for the red bag. I don't drink coffee, I keep it around for guests.

Once again homeplus has the big glass jars for around 6000 won. It is much better than the korean stuff you get. I use it when I don't have time to make drip coffee

I drink Taster's Choice Arabica. It is exactly the same as Nescafe(I think).

The Arabica is quite good, taste almost like the freshly ground coffee

Two things:

1) On the end of those little coffee packets there is a tiny number from 1-10. That SUPPOSEDLY tells how much sugar is inside.

2) The sugar and cream settle to the bottom, so some people squeeze and hold the sugar so that it doesn't pour out.

one of the best things I ever done was bringing in some coffee from home (tim horton's!!! ) and buying a coffee maker for when I'm at school. No more instant crap for me!

I have wonderful friends back home that send me Starbucks coffee ground for a french press and I bought a press from Starbucks here in Korea, would have been cheaper to bring from America, but didn't. It is definitely worth it and there isn't anything better (if you like coffee of course) than freshly pressed quality coffee.

Ah, thanks! I must keep buying the wrong kinds as everything so far has had sugar in it. I'll try the brands you mentioned! I haven't seen a coffee pot for $15, but then I've never been to HomePlus either (I'm sure there's one near, just never bothered to search it out).
