Would one of you be so kind as to give us a quick over view on what we should be planning for these Units.

Some of our schools are dragging rectum, have no idea when these new books wil arrive, and the next few days deskwarming could be very brutal without something to do.

I myself only have to plan Grade 4, so that is where I am most interested.

I have found out the unit NAMES from one guy, but so far ( despite the request) I have yet to get a bit of elaboration on exactly what direction the 4 units of these names are suppposed to go.

Thanks

Yo,

Why you sweating? The first 8 chapters are the same. They just added on so you dont need to know/plan anything until second semester.

1) According to Another Poster the First 8 Chapters are NOT The same, they are in fact mixed ( I have no idea who is correct, what with not having the book and all)

2) I have 6 days to deskwarm, I want to get my crap done for the year, every game planned, prepped and made. This way when I have Future deskwarming I can actually study my French and not have to worry about lesson planning.

3) I have no idea what the summer will bring, as I am trying to shorten my summer break ( which likely means more camps) so that I can take my newborn baby home for Christmas.

4) With this newborn being born in 2 weeks, I am likely going to be Dog a*s tired after teaching, as I am likely to average a few hours of sleep a night if I am lucky.

5) You seem to have the book, so with this plethura of new information are you willing to help me out by offering up the information? I would appreciate it.

I dont exactly know what u want to know. it's all same format as before. 4 classes per a lesson. you have your look and listen, listen and repeat, then some kind of game for the first class, then a song or chat for the second and third class. A role play and review question for the last class. And, a whole lots of cards to use in the back.

all the lesson titles are what you see in that other post. yes, they may not all be exactly the same, but very similar stuff from last year with different pictures and videos.

4th grade has some reading and writing added in (similar to what the 5th and 6th graders have). but, that's about it.

Okay, what I am asking for is elabortion on where the units are meant to Go

Example - DOn't do that

- Working on Words associated with prohibition, warnings
- Working on word to use when you are hurt ( ouch, pain, broken leg, doctor
- Key sentences involved "I need a doctor, Help, Wait I'm coming"

For many of them I have a good idea from the title where the unit would likely go, and what I should likely cover, I am just wondering if that can be pinpointed a bit better for the new one.

There have been a few times I have thought I should go a certain direction, yet the book was slightly different. I had to change the dialogue depending on the situation the book is asking you to work with.

For example "what time do you go to bed" is the unit mostly dealing with temrs associated with bed time, or is it more specifically dealing with times for doing any activity, day or night.

I hope that is more clear.

Thanks again I appreciate it
