Bioshock 2 comes out Feb 11.

Should I count on Yongsan or Technomart to have copies on hand, or should I order from a supplier online?

For some big games, like Modern Warfare 2, Technomart always had copies on hand right around release day. But for others, like Dragon Age, it took them some 2-3 weeks to get a copy here. I've always had great experiences ordering from Play Asia.

I should have mentioned I'm a 360 gamer.

Technomart had Left 4 Dead 2 the day it came out. I was surprised. I guess they'll have Bioshock 2... but the question is if it will be region-locked or not. There are different versions on play-asia. The only ones clearly market "no region protection" are those for the PS3 Shocked

There is already a PAL(locked) version out on the net. Doesn't really answer your question completely though as I don't know whether the NTSC version is going to be region locked as well or not. My guess is that it will be as the first one was...

...sorry, at least the Korean version is locked(definitely won't play on my US console)...

I went to Yongsan to pick up an xbox 360 copy yesterday. I asked the guy if it would work on a North American xbox, he said "No problem."

I popped it in, turns out this version is locked. There is an Asia version (not Japan) that's region-free. The UPC of the copy I got is as follows:

5026555251129

I'll go back tonight and let him know the situation. I've bought from this guy many times, so I don't think a return or exchange should be an issue.

Just thought I'd let y'all know.

Quick question why don't you just down load and burn?

My PS3 version arrived from playasia today. First time I've used that site, and I gotta say I'm pretty satisfied.

Play Asia have been excellent and I've always been extremely happy. If it weren't for the 2-3 day waiting time and my spontaneous purchases at Technomart I'd always use them.

I've started playing it on PC. Excellent game, but I recommend you have a decent system to get the most out of it. I might actually buy this, so I can play it online.

The KOR version looks to be NTSC-J and ASIA with Korean subs...

I completed the game in around 8 hours total on medium settings. It is good but I found the end of the game to be disappointing. No spoilers, but it is a bit abrupt and anti-climactic in the end.

Quick answer: Because I like to play on xbox live. Another reason is because I believe in supporting developers, and I don't want to have to worry about being banned from live, which I use a lot. Respect to those who have a modded box though; it's not easy.

I caved and bought from Play Asia. Cost me more than I would have paid at a store though.

It shipped last night, and is in Seoul now. It still says 'in transit'. I have 2 missed calls on my phone with no called ID. Think it could have been them?

The status said it would arrive by tonight, but after lunchie it changed to Tuesday.

I really want to get this before the break. If it doesn't arrive today I will go to Technomart and see if they have a compatible copy. There IS an Asian copy (probably from Hong Kong) that isn't region-locked.

I'll never understand the reason for region-locking games. Seriously. I paid for the game, who cares where I play it?
