Hey sports lovers..

well my airline has changed my flight times without telling me, thankfully something made me check the flight times last night. Anyways, i got to get to Incheon airport by 6am tomorrow morning, so i'm considering just sleeping at the jimjilbang at the airport tonight.

the thing is i live about half an hour out of Suwon and i got to get to the airport tonight, but i dont want to get there at like 7pm and be stuck with nothing to do..

any advice?

Go early or miss your flight.

The 1st bus from Suwon (castle hotel) to ICN leaves at 4:50am and arrives at ICN at 6am so .....

It is either:
1) go early and be bored,
2) take a taxi (must be nice to have money to burn) or
3) miss your flight.

Personally, I would get a motel, they are usually 25,000 to 35,000 won. If they are more expensive near the airport, then I would just go to one near a train station.

Call 1330 for English-speaking help about bus times. There is also a train that runs from Kimpo to Incheon airport. You could ask about that, too. As for being bored, well...bring a book, your charged lap top, eat at McD's or BK, ... you'll find something!

The train from Gimpo to Incheon won't be useful since they are in Suwon. Also, it's expensive.

Well, the subway goes through Suwon and to Gimpo... I think the bus is easier since you don't have to transfer dragging your luggage, but if you've just got a backpack or going to pick someone up, it's a whole bunch cheaper.

Sorry to say, but for once ttompatz is wrong.

There is a night bus at Seoul Station and it makes a few stops along the way at other subway stations.

I took the one that leaves at 0130 and there are additional departure times.

There is a pamphlet for the bus at the airport.

I definitely recommend the jimjilbang idea. I stayed there overnight the last time I left Korean and it was really good. You can get a small private room to sleep in, but I had the place mostly to myself anyway. Its a great way to start a trip in my opinion.

ttompatz isn't wrong--he was talking about the last bus from Suwon...didn't mention a bus from Seoul Station at all.

SUWON is a LONG WAY from Seoul Station (more than an hour by bus or subway in the evenings).

The airport bus from SUWON to ICN starts at ~4:50 AM and ends at (If I am not mistaken) ~9pm.

But feel free to correct me anytime I am wrong. I don't mind the poke. It keeps me on my toes.

What's wrong with just staying at the jimjilbang? Get to the airport however you want (assuming you've done it before, you'll know how) around 9pm, read, use the internet, have a meal, have a soak in the tub (they have them at the airport, right?) and go to bed early. Not that difficult. People on this board sure like to make things more complicated than they have to be Rolling Eyes

Really? There's a Jimjjilbang at the airport?

Yeah, did you read the thread? I haven't been there myself, but I've heard good things. I guess it's on the bottom floor, all the way to the right if you're looking towards the airport, with your back to the road. Nicer than most since it's at the airport and they have private rooms if need be. Boy, imagine if every airport had one...no more sleeping on uncomfortable benches all night!

Whatever point you are trying to make, it has not been made.

The OP requested info regarding transportation to Incheon at night.

The OP mentioned that he lives outside of Suwon.

The OP did NOT request info ONLY about transportation that goes directly from Suwon to Incheon airport.

I provided info for getting to Incheon airport at night. Traveling from Suwon to Seoul Station is easy and I have done it numerous times.

This is misinformation, as there is an alternative to "go early or miss your flight".
You can take the night bus from Seoul Station.

Of course, The OP and ttompatz "didn't mention a bus from Seoul Station at all"

I am the one who mentioned it because I am the one who is aware about it.
And it is info that provides a way to get to Incheon Airport at night.
