Gallup's most recent poll on global leadership under Obama:

http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2010/02/the-obama-effect.html

When asked their opinion of you, your friends and neighbors say good things--He's a great guy! I like and respect him. Have you ever noticed how rare it is for someone being complimented to respond: Who cares what other people think. They're all just jerks.

Count on an anti-Obama poster saying something similar in response to these numbers: Who cares what other people think. They're all just jerks.

This is a retarded poll. Probably every new pres in history received a bump. Simply because he wasn't the last guy.

A potentially valid position, if you have data to back it up. Do you? This quote from the larger article:

Quote:
A median of 47% approves and a median of 20% disapproves -- the first time disapproval has dropped below 50% in Europe since Gallup first asked the question.

Makes me suspicious that you do, but if you have it, please present it.

It was just a hunch, but a quick google search proved me right. Only the Bushs started with a lower approval level than their predecessor.

These look like domestic approval ratings, rather than international ones, which is what Yata Boy is talking about.

Ahh, too true. I would imagine that sort of data would be much more difficult to find.

Still. I would say it isn't that difficult to extrapolate from this data, that what I said is, at least, partially true.

Not really. I stumbled across my data without trying. I'm sure you can find counter evidence if it exists. If not, then you don't have a point.

Who cares what Europe thinks, anyway? They're all just a bunch of pansies.

True enough. Only the Israelis matter.
