I'm intending to switch from an E2 to a D4 visa (how long does this take by the way?) but since I have no plans for now to work in Korea in the future and I'm going back to the US in August, can I apply for my pension refund now? Or do I have to wait until I go "for good?" I know D4 visa holders aren't required to contribute to national pension. What if I have a round-trip ticket out of the country and back? What if I only print out the first page (ticket out part) to take to the pension office? Thanks. |

You need to wait till August.
They will want to see your exit ticket AND they won't send the money until AFTER they have confirmed that you have left the country and your E2 was canceled/expired. |
