Hi all just a quick question. Can you buy neosporon or hydrogen peroxide at a pharmacy here over the counter? If so what does the packaging look like? Thanks for any info.

The hydrogen peroxide I buy over the counter at my local pharmacy comes in a bright orange bottle. I think it is 250 mg in size. It costs 500 won.

Everything in Korea that we would buy "over the counter" is "behind the counter" anyway. Show the pharmacist your laceration and they should hook you up.

H2O2 is destructive to tissue and is being used less and less. Polysporin comes in a white tube. Ask for it. They will have it.

Pretty soon H2O2 is going to become a restricted product due to security concerns. hint, it's used for more than just disinfecting things.
I expect soon laws will come into effect, as a follow up to the US homeland security mandate.

Until that day, just ask for 'Gwa-san-hwa-soo-so-soo' at the pharmacy and you'll be all set.

A little disappointing the stuff is bad for me. I do love the bubbles.

Hey that peroxide is great for cleaning your ear canals out with. You tip your head sideways, pour a capful into your ear, let it bubble for a few minutes, and then you take a shower to flush out the loosened wax or use some sort of water stream. Make sure you're using 3% as a higher % is dangerous to use on yourself unless you dilute.

I was unable to get a Korean Hangul translation for, "peroxide," using my translator so a Korean word may not exist due to it being known by another product name. Dam that's what makes Korea so confusing and always a secret to what all is possible, because a Korean who speaks English struggles to know what you're talking about when you have a question about something while translator sites fail us. I didn't even think they had peroxide.

I just want to walk into stores, see with my eyes what all is available, hand pick it, and pay for it, but no, you gotta talk properly to get it or be only as good as severely retarded people are at it.
