Hi All.,

Well my students went 'home' from school long ago...but I heard they were starting on their trips to their families.

I got a call then from an irate hagwon teacher. Extra classes today, hasn't had a break in a long time. I remember those hellish days.

What can we do about the system, any thoughts?

They are increasing classes (grade 3 and 4) by two hours next year which should be something. Is it too little too late? What can we do about parent's work schedules? Currently, teachers, parents and students all have issues.

The school tried for afternoon classes and some students came for a while. But they always left early as soon as institute classes started. The parents pay so they go.

Apologies if this is an old topic....what do people think?
