The girl in the video was beaten for "acting White". I act White every moment of everyday. How safe am I?
Barack Obama has said if you hate White people, its OK by him if you want to kill them and you won't get any extra penalties. This really bothers me.
Is this a hate crime? Is it OK to beat up people that act Jewish? What are the rules about beating a black person because you hate black people while you are a black person?
This is ethnic cleansing. |

Well, historically, the case can be made that for a long time, crimes against blacks in the U.S. were punished less severely - and less fairly - then crimes committed by blacks against whites.
However, I personally don't see the need to have any "hate crime" category. The laws should apply equally as far as possible, but it is well known that those with more economic means tend to get more "justice" than those who are poor. |

Um, as a white person I object to you claiming your behavior is white. It is not. Had you said, "I act stupid every moment of everyday" I would not have objected. True white people do not have a need to call attention to their whiteness. Dolts and trolls do, but authentic white people don't. |

| A few years back I saw a black stand-up comic in Washington Square "do" a white guy. He borrowed the props from the audience--white guy glasses, an attache case, newspaper etc. He was halarious and had the audience (mostly white people) in stitches. |

Thank you Rufus, I never know what to do when it comes to capitalizing the concepts black or white as it relates to people. I don't think its covered in the "Elements of Style". |

Posting this was difficult. The acting white reference was heavily censored by the press as the press seeks to project non whites in a positive light. I check a small number but adequate number of news sources and the press was effective in censoring the issue out. I got tired of searching. That convo site I linked to has looser discussion requirements but it is still a neutral site and I didn't see any evidence of pornography or similar material.
After a thought, I decided the unsavory stuff included in the underhanded way I included it is fair after I had to look extra to find the "acting white" reference. I left it in to be a jerk back.
Barack Obama, though his Attorney General Eric Holder had passed new hate crimes legislation that expanded to cover several new groups.

I think hate crime laws will eventually become unmanageable and then ultimately abandoned. For the last 50 years, more black people have murdered more white people in The USA then the opposite way and these numbers vastly out weigh the numbers of hate-murders.
What will you do when the numbers are really really really bad but within legal constraints? Impose war crime law, marshal law?
I can understand hate laws but as I get older and learn more I become more interested in the arguments and facts of the case, I'm not a slave to the hate crime crew. |

| "Acting White" has been an issue in young black American culture for quite a while. If a young black person does well in school or speaks proper English he is accused of acting White by his peers. |
