this man.
This man escaped from the Arizona state psychiatric clinic in 2005. He suffers from an extreme case of schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. These are some of the most serious psychological disorders one can have mind you.
Apparently, he is using a pseudonym and was last seen in Seoul, South Korea.
The last person to have seen him states that he has adapted well to his surroundings. Apparently, his abhorrent behavior is accepted in Korea as being "normal" because foreigners are generally considered strange to Koreans.
This is very dangerous for his treatment because his acceptable behavior in Korea may lead to him relapsing and perhaps never being able to function in American society again.
He is known as "watermelon" man and his habbit of smashing watermelons over his head has cost thousands of dollars. One watermelon in Korea can cost upwards of 50 dollars each.
He is generally not dangerous but should be approached with caution.
Do not approach this man when he is in the manic state of smashing watermelons over his head.
thank you for your help,
Dr. Z

He must really enjoy the attention
Definitely deserves an honorable mention in the "Freakiest Waegook" thread. |

Update:
Apparently he is teaching at one of the most prestigious elementary schools in Seoul.
He doesn't actually teach English but rather uses guttural gestures to communicate with the children.
He is the most popular teacher the school has ever had and he has started an after school program.
Keep your ear to the grindstone. If you hear "watermelon manuh chaimi itta"
This means watermelon man is interesting and please follow up on that lead.
thanks. |

What's the point of this joke thread? Was it supposed to be funny? Koreans' inability to deal properly with mental illness is a serious problem. You clearly understand no more about it than the average Korean, maybe less. |
