Can anyone tell me how easy or otherwise it is to use foreign bank cards to get cash in SK?

I'm flying on tuesday and am not sure how to bring money.
A visa electron prepay card has been suggested as it is very economical to use abroad (low charges etc) but not sure how acceptable that would be in Korea?

Any thoughts very welcome!

i'd recommend a check card (one with a c.c. logo like visa/mc)... a lot of the bigger banks have "international" or "global" atms... however, these machines are rarely available elsewhere other than in the banks themselves...

i've been told that some corner shops have global machines, but i've never seen one...

once you've found a machine, just withdrawal it all... korea's actually safe enough to keep it hidden somewhere in the apartment Very Happy
